Before The Eyebrows, Jay and Shawn had a Powerpop outfit named Poprocket. The toured the South East US relentlessly between 2000-2003, and remained an active band up through 2006. "Some Songs" is their first E.P. - recorded and mixed in one weekend in Winston-Salem at Electromagnetic Radiation Recorders. Jay, Shawn, and then-bassist Jeff slept on the floor of the studio, and used all kinds of interesting microphones, most notably a C.B. radio mic.
